Position Title: Part-time School Police Officer
Length of Contract: Part-time. 177 Days
JOB SUMMARY:
9-month position - Monday through Friday, 2-3 days 8-hour days per week, to provide for safety and security of Clarion County Career Center students, staff, visitors, and property. The SPO will foster positive relationships with the students, parents, and school personnel. The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Have graduated from the PA State Police Academy and have been employed as a State Trooper with the PA State Police or successfully complete the Basic School Resource Officer course offered by the National Association of School Resource Officers
- Must hold annual firearms certification
- Must have current Act 34, 151 and FBI Clearances
- Attend annual in-service training approved by the Municipal Police Officers Education and Training Commission
· TB test and physical required prior to employment.
